In the essence of the Chinese Medicine and Chinese life-cultivating philosophy the balance of Yin and Yang is the centerpiece. Any time when our body system is out of this balance and lasts for a period of time, illness or disease occurs. However, the process of balancing is a dynamic process through our whole lives, it takes commitment on a daily basis to maintain this balance. The most part of Chinese Medicine is focused on food treatment (nutrition), breathing and physical exercise to adjust human body in order to achieve Yin Yang balance to prevent and cure illness and disease. Compared to Western medicine, Chinese medicine emphasizes more on prevention (like eating nutritious herbs as food before the problem occurs) and treating the root of the disease (after problem occurs). Most Chinese foods have been categorized in Chinese medicine literature in terms of their medical values, attributes, and how and when to eat them in order to achieve nutritional balance, which has been considered the best way to prevent disease. So for most cases in Chinese medicine, food is medicine, and medicine is food.
It is fortunate to see more and more western medical and health professionals today start to embrace the philosophy of Chinese medicine, which make the combination of Eastern wisdom and western civilization a realty. This combination will dramatically improve peoples' life quality, extend life span, and make people free of diseases, cancers, diabetes, heart attacks, allergies and all kind of "man-made" health problems possible.
However, in today's reality, we are facing the deteriorating natural environment along with peoples' poor choice of food, many "man-made" degenerative diseases have taken too many peoples' lives too early. In the U.S. 70 percent of the population dies due to chronic degenerative diseases. Most of these deaths are premature and preventable.
At Crystal Health Institute, we believe that proper nutrition and proper exercise on daily basis are the key factors affecting our health and lifespan. We are doing every effort we can to bring the most advanced health and nutritional products and health-promoting philosophies, as well as the safest and easiest exercise styles to the people who are looking for means for achieving optimal health and longevity.

Best wishes for your health and wellbeing!
